TESTING INSTRUMENTS FOR VARIOUS TESTING COMMISSIONING SERVICES

1.0       3 phase Power System Simulator, Make Doble, Type: F6150. Quantity: 1 No.

Power System Simulator uses signal processing, power amplifier to simulate the operation of protective relays for various testing application. This Power System Simulator can check protection system and verifies protection settings by simulating system events.

This Power System Simulator tests all the protective relays covered under IEEE device Nos. This Power System Simulator is supported by very versatile and automatic protection softwares such as,

  • F6Test for pre-configured automated testing using templates for all protection schemes.

  • ProTest for fully customized automated testing software providing flexibility for testing of protection schemes

  • The F6000 Control Panel for quick manual style interactive testing.

This Simulator can also be used for calibration testing of transducers and metering application including the new standard 0.2 class metering system.

2.0     T3000 : Sub-station Test System

This is a sub-station Maintenance and Commissioning test equipment Model T3000, Make ISA, Italy.  Quantity : 2 Nos.

It’s a Multi-Function system for testing substation equipment such as,

  • Current Transformers,

  • Voltage and Power Transformers,

  • All Type of Protection Relays,

  • Energy Meters and Transducers.

  • T3000 can carry out testing operations during commissioning and maintenance of substation.  

  • It carries out the test on relays of all types (voltage, current / power, frequency and df/dt) and of current and voltage transformers.  

T3000 has a powerful multi-meter and phase angle meter with oscilloscope functions.

3.0     SECONDARY INJECTION TESTING KIT: Quantity  :  5 Nos.

This test set is suitable for testing and calibration of all types of relays including static, microprocessor based, electromechanical relays etc.

The rating of this set is,

3.1      0-100\250 Amp, distortion free alternating current.  Current can be selected in ranges of 1A, 5A, 10A, 25A, 50A & 100A\250A.

3.2        0-440V A.C., Voltage can be selected in range of 0 - 63.5V, 110V, 230V & 440V.

3.3        0-250V   D.C., 2A, Capacity, low ripple content D.C. source.

 

 4.0    PRIMARY INJECTION TEST SET:  Quantity   :  3 Nos.

This set is used for testing Ratio of current Transformer, bi-metal relays and primary circuit injection etc.  The set can inject maximum upto 1000A.  The range selection is 0-250A / 500A / 1000A.

 5.0    MEASURING (PHASE SHIFTING) RELAY TEST SET: Quantity : 4 Nos.

This set is suitable for testing relays with circular characteristics and relay with specified maximum torque angle.

        This set has,

5.1       Current source upto 10A.

5.2       Voltage source upto 110V.

5.3     Phase shifter with continuous adjustment of phase angle from 0 to 360 degree with phase angle meter.

 

 6.0    THREE PHASE CURRENT AND VOLTAGE INJECTION TEST SET :

This set is used for simulation of motor starting condition and for three phase overall recalibration of motor protection relay, testing and calibration of energy meters, etc.

8.0   FREQUENCY GENERATOR : Quantity : 3 Nos.      

This set is used as a highly stabilized variable frequency and voltage source for testing frequency relays. A facility for testing rate of change of frequency feature as well as third harmonic injection for 100% Stator Earth Fault Protection Check.

9.0       C.T. KNEE POINT VOLTAGE CHECK TEST SET:  Quantity  :  1 No  .      

This set is specifically designed for testing of saturation characteristics of CTs having very high-knee point voltage.

The rating of set is,

9.1       0-500V, 5A.

9.2       0-2000V, 1A. 

 

10.0   OIL TEST SET:  Quantity :  1 No.

        This  set  is  utilized for testing dielectric strength of insulating oil.

         The rating of the set is,

10.1        This set is motorized.

10.2        Maximum output voltage is 0-60 kV. 

 

11.0   TURNS RATIO TEST SET:  Quantity  :  1 No.                    

This set is used for checking turns ratio of power transformer (1 Phase & 3 Phase).  The range of turns ratio is from 1-111

12.0   DIGITAL LOW RESISTANCE MICRO - OHM METER: Quantity  : 6 Nos.

This unit is designed on the principle of Kelvin's bridge method.

This unit has high accuracy of 0.1% and is used for measuring winding resistance   of Alternator, Transformer, H. T. Motor, Current Transformer secondary winding, circuit breaker power contact resistance etc.

This unit gives fast and stable readings for High Power (300 MVA), High voltage or high current transformers. It is suitable for Live Switchyard. Direct read out feature of resistance on 4 ˝ digit LCD display with back light is available. It is totally protected against inductive load and surges works on 230 V AC mains. It has high stability, high voltage compliance and extremely low ripple source.

13.0   DIGITAL TIME INTERVAL METER :  Quantity :  4 Nos.

This is a digital display time interval meter with accuracy of 0.1% and measurement from 1 mSec. to 999.9 Sec.

14.0   CIRCUIT BREAKER OPERATING TIME INTERVAL METER: Quantity : 2 Nos.

High accuracy Digital micro processor based instrument for measurement of circuit breaker closing and tripping time simultaneously for

all the three poles. This unit has digital display. It can measure time from 1 m Sec to 999 m Sec. A useful instrument for checking circuit

breaker pole discrepancy and faulty operating mechanism.

15.0    ACCESSORIES : MINIMUM 4 SETS.

The following testing accessories are used along with the major testing equipments.

15.1  5000V Motorised Megger Battery Operated:

       These meggers are used for measurement of insulation resistance and polarization index of HT equipments.

 

15.2  500V/1000V/2500V/5000V Digital Megger :

These meggers are used for testing, I.R. value, polarization index and step voltage test of HT equipment.

This instrument gives a direct value of polarization index.

15.3   D.C.Source Box :

This source box output is ripple free, non-distorted output of capacity 0‑230 Volts and 2 Amp/10 Amp.

15.4  Polarity Test Box :

Specifically designed for checking polarity of current and potential transformers.

15.5    Three point method digital earth resistance testing kit.

 

15.6    AC Ampere Leakage Current Meter :

         This is a sensitive meter capable of measuring currents as low as 2 mA.

 

15.7     Three Phase Variac :

This instrument provides a three phase continuously variable voltage supply from 0-470V, 10 Amp.

15.8      AVO meters of high accuracy. 

15.9      Hand Driven Megger of 500V and 1000V.

A set of live phasing rod to identify the phasing out between the two supplies.  The range of phasing rod is from 2kV to 33kV.
